How One Local Restaurant Owner is Preparing for Phase 4 – Starting this Friday

Rockford, IL - Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced that Illinois will be entering Phase 4, the Revitalization
Phase, this Friday, June 26th. As part of Phase 4, restaurants can open for indoor dining with limited capacity
and following strict public health procedures, including personal protective equipment for employees.

Benny Salamone, owner of Franchesco’s Ristorante (open for dinner) and Fresco at the Gardens (open for
breakfast and lunch) is ready for this next step. “We’re are so thankful that our pick-up window, delivery
orders, and most recently, outdoor dining has helped us cover overhead during this challenging time, but we
are so ready to get back to something closer to our normal business flow!”

Benny Salamone and his seasoned team of chefs, servers, and hosts are taking the safety guidelines very
seriously. “We want our customers to know that we are following every CDC precaution, and then some. All
employees wear masks, out front and in the kitchen. We have sanitizing stations throughout, and our large
capacity, including 4 rooms at Franchesco’s, will allow us to maintain safe distancing between diners. Bottom
line, we want our customers to feel comfortable and to be able to enjoy their experience dining with us,” says
Benny.

Benny continues, “With our guests, employees and their families at the center of all we do as a company, we
will continue to do all that is possible to keep people safe. It's our honor and privilege to serve our
community, particularly during these challenging times. Like most family businesses, we depend on our local
economy. We know our loyal customers will be there for us to help bring us through this unprecedented
time.”
